  • Café Renovation Leads to Increase in Sales for Monument Health

    Monument Health is the leading medical center in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the surrounding areas. The hospital offers a broad scope of services to the community and has invested in multiple renovations and construction projects in the last few years.  When the partnership between Monument Health and Morrison Healthcare started, it was determined that their café was outdated and the space was not well utilized. In February 2017, they were ready to give the café a much-needed makeover. The result of this project, an increase in sales.

  • Cutting Cost and Improving Outcomes with Nutrition Therapy

    MMT is used to track each patient identified by the dietitian as malnourished from the time the dietitian sees them until they are discharged. It takes the data and determines the difference in reimbursement due to the malnutrition code. The data also help us identify missed opportunities, such as when the dietitian identified malnutrition, but the patient wasn’t coded with malnutrition at discharge. This is an example where the MHC Malnutrition program helps the hospital receive reimbursement for the care provided.
