One of the things you’re probably considering when looking for a job is how much of an investment a company makes in its people.
- Will they grow and develop you?
- Will you be properly trained?
- What about if you want to be a manager?
- Are there management training courses available?
These questions are especially important if you’re about to graduate, or just beginning your career and are eager to advance quickly.
The Manager in Training (MIT) Program is designed to fast-track entry level associates into management positions.
We understand growth is essential and when it comes to management training, company support is non-negotiable. Providing quality, in depth management training courses and programs early on, is just one way we are good stewards of our greatest resource, our people.
“The MIT program has been an integral part of our efforts to build our bench strength with great talent,” says Brad Burden, Sr. Director of HR of Compass One Healthcare. So far, Morrison MITs have been just that– great talent. Brad Burden adds, “We’ve been impressed by the quality of candidates and their engagement in completing the coursework and on the job experience.”
The program blends a variety of experiences, so trainees walk away with a full toolbox of skills through distance, self-directed, and in-person managerial training programs. Participants learn core business topics like safety, finance, social responsibility, managing client relationships and HR so they can become knowledgeable managers. On top of that, trainees develop soft skills like self-awareness, communication, professionalism, adaptability, and goal setting, which researchers say are increasingly important in a competitive work environment.
College grads hired by Compass Campus Programs at recruiting fairs, other recent college graduates (early in career), and frontline associates who are motivated to move up within Morrison are all eligible to participate in the program when nominated.
We also provide trainees with a strong web of support that includes a program sponsor, training site manager and training site team they can lean on as they complete the program’s management training courses.
Simply put, we don’t leave our trainees to finish the program alone.
Upon successful program completion, MIT graduates can be considered for promotion and move into a management position.
Compass Group Careers and Morrison Healthcare are growing the future, one manager in training at a time. If you’re interested in learning about opportunities within the and management training courses within the Compass One or Morrison family, check out available job openings today.
